FDA Finally Admits Chicken Meat Contains Cancer – Causing Arsenic
FDA finally admited that chiken meat contains inorganic arsenic, according to the Associated Press.
Arsenic is a toxic chemical which, when taken into high doses, can be fatal since it has cancer-causing properties. This is no longer a secret becauze FDA finally admitted that chicken meat sold in the supermarkets contains arsenic. However, the real problem is the origin of the arsenic that is added to the chicken meat we consume.
According to IATP’s report in 2006, called Playing Chicken, more than 70% of chicken are fed in arsenic and it is intentionally mixed with the chicken food in order to save on food because it stimulates faster growth, but it also gives healthy color of chicken, turkey and hog meat.
The most toxic form of arsenic cancerous chemical is the inorganic arsenic which was found in the livers of the chickens, by the FDA.
Roxarone is another drug which contains toxic arsenic and it is added to chicken feed so that the meat looks fatter and with a nice pink color. Because of its toxic properties, Pfizer was asked to stop its production.
The Wall Street Journal reported:
“The agency said it recently conducted a study of 100 broiler chickens that detected inorganic arsenic at higher levels in the livers of chickens treated with 3-Nitro compared with untreated chickens … Pfizer said sale of 3-Nitro would be stopped by early July in order to allow animal producers to transition to other treatments.”
The FDA still asserts that chicken meat contains safe amount of arsenic which is not dangerous, eventhough this product was recalled from the stores throughout the US.
University of South Carolina Department of Environmental Health Services stated that Arsenic, together with lead and mercury, has extremely toxic effects in fetuses and children. This is one of the reasons why the production industry does not want the world to know the truth about arsenic and it toxic effects on human health.
Moreover, experts claim that arsenic has 4 times more poisonous effects than mercury, for example, Arsenic As+3 is 60 times as toxic as the pentavalent As+ 5.
Individuals who consume large amounts of rice which contains arsenic, experience change in the cells which leads to cancer development, showed one study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association.
According to the most recent reports, arsenic, when ingested , causes Bowen disease (squamos cell carcinoma in situ); basal cell carcinoma on the skin; invasive squamos cell carcinoma, even cancers of the internal organs such as liver, lungs, bladder, and kidneys.
